They are doing it again. Alex and Stephen Kendrick are in the process of filming a new movie title “Courageous.”
You may remember the Kendrick brothers started out with the movie Flywheel (Director’s Cut) then Facing the Giants
Courageous is about four law enforcement officers. The prove they are willing and able to stand up to the terrible things the world has to offer. But in their personal world, they each face the challenge that no amount of training can provide - fatherhood.
From the synopsis it explains that these four consistently give their all on the job but are doing just enough to get by when it comes to being a dad and soon realize that “getting by” isn’t enough when it comes to being a father a real dad.
The Courageous website goes on to say:
They know that God desires to turn the hearts of fathers to their children, but their children are beginning to drift further and further away from them. Will they be able to find a way to serve and protect those that are most dear to them?
When tragedy hits home, these men are left wrestling with their hopes, their fears, their faith, and their fathering. Can a newfound urgency help these dads draw closer to God … and to their children?
If this is anything like the other Sherwood Pictures, I am sure this film will be inspiring and encouraging. Families now days need all the encouragement possible, especially dads, who many times just don’t know how to be a “dad” to their kids.
