Husbands Who Love Their Wives

by Kim on September 16, 2010

Over the last several days I have seen many comments on Facebook from men who truly cherish their wives.  Here are some of the comments I have seen, I have removed names to protect privacy.

Date night with my wife tonight, can’t wait

Took the day off to spend it with my lovely wife, which paid more than any day at work

My wife writes great blog posts and I’m not just saying that because I love her.

Today I read this small post that truly brought me to tears, it said:

Spent over 8 hours in the past 3 days focused on…my marriage.  Best 8 hours I’ve spent since…the last time I gave decent time to my marriage.  Why I don’t do this more often is beyond me.  My work, my parenting, my self image…it’s all clouded over or inspired by the health of my marriage.  My wife inspires me to be a better man.

Lucky Women!

How very lucky these women are and I hope and pray they know what Godly men they have married.   These men not only cherish their wives, they publicly honor their wives.

Ladies, why do you think this is?  It is because they are showing their husbands respect.  When a husband feels respected he will show love toward his wife.

Men, when your wife feels loved she will naturally give & show you respect.

Love & Respect

How is it as men and women we can’t seem to get this right?  I encourage everyone reading this to please read the book Love & Respect: The Love She Most Desires; The Respect He Desperately Needs by Dr. Emerson Eggerichs.   Men if you learn how to love your wife, she will respect you.

Ladies, if you respect your husband, he will show you love….read the quotes above if you don’t believe me.

May God bless all marriages!

Day 26
Pray that your husband will discover and live his God-given purpose. Pray that he will offer all his dreams to the Lord, and pursue only those goals that will bring God glory and count for eternity. (Jer. 29:11; 1 Cor. 10:31)

Bible reading and study, prayer, meditation, scripture memorization, etc.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31 (NIV)
